Microdermabrasion + LED Therapy
Microdermabrasion with LED.
Mechanical exfoliation paired with targeted LED light therapy. Surface resurfacing and inflammatory soothing in a single session — for brighter, smoother, more even-toned skin.

This combined protocol pairs microdermabrasion’s mechanical exfoliation with LED light therapy’s photobiological skin response. The microdermabrasion resurfaces the skin and improves serum absorption; the LED phase amplifies the result with anti-inflammatory and collagen-stimulating wavelengths. Together, they deliver more than either treatment alone.

The Procedure
Two-step protocol, one appointment.
The session begins with a thorough cleanse and a microdermabrasion pass across the treatment area — this removes the uppermost dead skin layer and primes the skin for deeper serum absorption. Targeted serums are then applied, followed by the LED therapy phase. The LED wavelength is selected based on your specific concerns: red for collagen and inflammation, blue for acne-prone skin, near-infrared for deeper tissue repair.
Each session is typically 60–75 minutes. Results are immediately visible — brightness, smoothness, and a soft luminosity. Cumulative effects build across a series of four to six sessions spaced two to three weeks apart.
What to Expect
Two phases, one visit.
Consultation
Skin type assessment, LED wavelength selection, and treatment customization. Often combined with the first session in the same appointment.
Treatment Session
Cleanse, microdermabrasion pass, targeted serum application, LED therapy phase, and SPF finish. Total time approximately 60–75 minutes.
Optional Series
Best cumulative results from a series of 4–6 sessions spaced 2–3 weeks apart. Maintenance every 4–6 weeks afterward.
Who This Procedure Serves
For patients wanting more from a single visit.
This combined protocol suits patients with multiple concerns — dullness AND inflammation, texture AND mild pigmentation, surface roughness AND post-acne marks — who want to address them efficiently in one session rather than splitting into separate appointments.
Not appropriate for active acne flares, open lesions, recent sun damage, recent retinoid use, or active rosacea. Patients with sensitive skin may need a gentler protocol — Dr. Rusnak’s team will adjust accordingly.
Frequently Asked
Questions, answered.
How is this different from microdermabrasion alone?
The LED phase amplifies the result. The microdermabrasion resurfaces the skin and improves serum absorption; the LED then triggers photobiological responses (inflammation reduction, collagen stimulation) that compound the brightening and smoothing effect.
How often should I do this?
Every two to three weeks for a series of four to six sessions, then maintenance every four to six weeks.
Can I add other treatments at the same visit?
Yes — many patients combine this with extractions, hydrating serums, or other add-ons. We design the right combination at consultation.
Is there downtime?
Minimal. Mild pinkness for a few hours; light flaking possible over the next few days. You can apply makeup the same day.
Will this help with acne?
Yes — particularly with the blue light LED setting, which has antibacterial effects against acne-causing bacteria. We adjust the LED wavelength based on whether acne is a primary concern.
