Medical Facials
Medical
facials.
A complete range of clinical facial treatments — exfoliation, light therapy, radiofrequency, microneedling, and PRP — delivered with paramedical rigor by Dr. Cecilia Rusnak’s team.

The facial services at Healing Skin Medical Aesthetics are designed and delivered with the same clinical rigor as our paramedical restoration work. These are not spa facials — they are medical treatments selected based on your skin’s specific needs and Fitzpatrick type, with measurable goals and realistic time horizons.

The Procedure
Six clinical facial protocols, each with a specific purpose.
Our facial menu includes glycolic acid exfoliation for brightness and tone, microdermabrasion for texture, microdermabrasion with LED for combined exfoliation and rejuvenation, LED mask therapy for inflammation and luminosity, facial radiofrequency for non-surgical firming, and PRP facials for collagen stimulation using your own platelets. Each protocol can be performed singly or as part of a multi-treatment plan.
Consultation determines which combination of services fits your skin type, current condition, and goals. Many patients benefit from a tailored sequence — for example, glycolic exfoliation followed by LED therapy and finishing with a hydrating treatment. Dr. Rusnak’s team will design the right approach.
What to Expect
Tailored, not template.
Skin Consultation
Fitzpatrick assessment, skin history review, current concerns, and goals. Treatment plan customized to your specific needs — not a one-size approach.
Single Treatment or Series
Some patients come for one treatment (event preparation, immediate refresh); others enroll in a multi-session series for cumulative results. We’re transparent about what’s realistic in each session.
Ongoing Care
Maintenance facials every 4–8 weeks help sustain results between deeper interventions. Skincare routines are reviewed and adjusted alongside.
Who This Procedure Serves
For patients prioritizing skin health.
Medical facials suit patients who view skin care as ongoing health practice rather than occasional indulgence — patients who want measurable progression, evidence-based protocols, and a practitioner with clinical depth behind the choices being made.
Whether you’re addressing specific concerns (pigmentation, texture, fine lines, post-acne scarring) or maintaining the results of paramedical or aesthetic work performed at the clinic, our facial protocols integrate with the broader treatment ecosystem at Healing Skin.
Frequently Asked
Questions, answered.
How often should I do facials?
For maintenance, every four to eight weeks. For active treatment of specific concerns, more frequent sessions spaced two to four weeks apart for a series, then maintenance afterward.
How do I know which facial is right for me?
That’s the consultation. Different concerns respond to different protocols — pigmentation responds to glycolic; texture responds to microdermabrasion or microneedling; laxity responds to RF; inflammation responds to LED. Dr. Rusnak’s team selects based on assessment.
Can I combine facials with my other treatments?
Yes — most facial protocols pair well with other services. Some combinations need spacing (e.g., not glycolic and retinoid in the same week); we’ll coordinate timing.
Is there downtime?
Minimal across most facial protocols. Glycolic and microdermabrasion can produce light flaking over a few days. RF, PRP, and LED have essentially no downtime. We brief expectations before each session.
Do you do chemical peels beyond glycolic?
Yes — we offer a range of chemical peel depths and active acids beyond glycolic. We assess your skin and recommend the appropriate depth at consultation.

Qi C+ Corrective Serum
A stabilized Vitamin C + peptide serum we recommend to clients receiving medical facial appointments. It brightens post-inflammatory pigment, evens skin tone, and primes the dermis for collagen synthesis — apply each morning under SPF for compounding effect.
