Brazilian Method · Stretch Mark Revision

Brazilian stretch mark camouflage.

The Brazilian-method paramedical pigment technique for stretch marks — refined for color match, depth control, and natural blending across all Fitzpatrick skin types.

Brazilian stretch mark camouflage result at Healing Skin

The Brazilian method for stretch mark camouflage uses a specific pigment-mixing and depth-control protocol developed and refined in Brazilian paramedical practice. The technique emphasizes precise color matching, minimal trauma to the surrounding skin, and natural blending — particularly important for patients with darker Fitzpatrick skin types where stretch marks tend to show more contrast.

The Procedure

Color match. Depth control. Brazilian protocol.

Dr. Rusnak applies the Brazilian method with the same clinical rigor as her other paramedical work. The technique distinguishes itself in three areas: pigment selection is layered with multiple base tones rather than a single match, depth control is calibrated to the specific depth of each stretch mark, and the procedure is staged across multiple sessions to allow color settling and adjustment.

Common treatment areas include abdomen, thighs, hips, breasts, shoulders, and upper arms. The protocol is typically two to three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Best candidates have mature (silvery-white) stretch marks at least one year old.

What to Expect

Two to three sessions, weeks apart.

Step 01

Consultation

Skin type and stretch mark assessment, color matching, and pre-treatment planning. We confirm marks are mature enough for camouflage and outline realistic expectations.

Approx. 45 minutes
Step 02

Initial Pigmentation

First session applies the base color layer. Treatment time varies by area — smaller groups of marks may take an hour, broader patches may take two to three. Healing follows for 4–6 weeks.

Approx. 1–3 hours
Step 03

Refinement

One to two follow-up sessions to fine-tune color and add depth where needed. Most patients reach their final result after the second or third session.

1–2 refinement passes

Who This Procedure Serves

For patients with mature stretch marks of any skin type.

The Brazilian method is particularly well-suited to patients with darker Fitzpatrick skin types where color matching is more complex and the contrast between marks and surrounding skin is more pronounced. It’s equally effective for lighter skin types — the protocol’s layered approach gives Dr. Rusnak more precision in color match across all skin tones.

Best candidates have mature (silvery-white) stretch marks at least one year old. Red or purple stretch marks are still in active inflammatory phase and need to mature first. Not appropriate for active keloids, recent scarring in the area, or patients with active skin conditions in the treatment zone.

Frequently Asked

Questions, answered.

How is this different from your standard stretch mark camouflage?

The Brazilian method uses a different pigment layering approach with multiple base tones rather than a single match. It’s particularly valuable for patients with darker skin tones where standard single-pigment techniques can leave a visible tone shift. Dr. Rusnak applies the protocol that’s right for your specific skin type.

Will the stretch marks completely disappear?

No. The texture remains — that’s a permanent structural change. What camouflage does is reduce the visual contrast so the marks no longer dominate the visual field. Most patients report no longer noticing them in daily life after treatment.

How long does it last?

Several years typically. Sun exposure is the main factor in fading — SPF on the treated area at all times is non-negotiable. Touch-ups are straightforward when needed.

How soon after pregnancy can I have this?

Generally at least twelve months after delivery, longer if you’re still nursing. We want the skin stable and the marks fully mature before pigment work.

Does it work on darker skin?

Yes — and the Brazilian protocol is particularly suited to darker Fitzpatrick types. Dr. Rusnak will discuss what’s realistic for your specific skin tone at consultation.
