The Procedure
Tinted serum, delivered through microneedling.
Treatment begins with a thorough cleanse and color-matched serum selection. Dr. Rusnak’s team customizes the BB Glow tint to your natural skin tone, not too dark, not too light, calibrated to your Fitzpatrick type. Microneedling is then used to drive the tinted brightening serum into the uppermost skin layers, where it diffuses and integrates into the surface tone for a uniform, foundation-like finish.
The treatment is typically performed as a series of three to five sessions spaced two to three weeks apart for cumulative results. After the series, results last approximately three to six months. Maintenance sessions can be scheduled every two to four months depending on your skin and lifestyle.

Cleanse, numb, color-match, and microneedle the tinted serum into the upper dermis across the full treatment area. Mild redness for 24 hours follows; foundation effect builds over the next 24–48 hours.

Not appropriate for: active acne or rosacea flares, recent retinoid use, sunburn, recent waxing in the treatment area, or skin currently going through significant pigmentation changes. Pregnant or nursing patients should defer the treatment.

How long do results last?
Three to six months after the initial series of three to five sessions. Maintenance every two to four months keeps the effect refreshed. Sun exposure is the main fading factor, SPF is non-negotiable afterward.
Is this a tattoo?
No. BB Glow uses tinted brightening serums delivered into the uppermost skin layers, not pigment driven into the dermis like a tattoo. The effect fades gradually as the skin renews naturally.
Will it work on my skin tone?
BB Glow is customized to your Fitzpatrick skin type. We select the closest tint match and adjust during the session. The effect should look like a uniform version of your natural skin, not a layer applied on top.
Does it hurt?
Topical numbing is applied before microneedling. Most patients describe the sensation as mild, a pressure or scratching rather than sharp pain. Well-tolerated by the vast majority of patients.
