Paramedical Tattoo Training Houston.
Paramedical tattoo training Houston is offered as a traveling cohort from Dr. Rusnak Academy. The academy is founded by Dr. Cecilia Rusnak, a doctor with over 30 years of clinical and aesthetic experience. Hands-on, in-person training covers 3D Areola Color Restoration, scar camouflage, and stretch mark work. Read the academy mission.
For four days in mid-September, Dr. Cecilia Rusnak brings her paramedical tattoo curriculum to Houston — the only South-Central stop on the 2026 tour. Students travel here from Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, and across the Gulf to train without flying coast to coast.

Why Houston
Texas-sized clinical opportunity.
Texas has one of the largest and fastest-growing medical-aesthetics markets in the country — and one of the lowest ratios of trained paramedical practitioners per capita. Practitioners in the Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio metros routinely report waitlists for paramedical scar camouflage and 3D areola restoration with no qualified local provider within 90 minutes.
Houston is the practical hub. George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) and William P. Hobby (HOU) cover the Gulf Coast with nonstop service from every Texas metro plus Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and most of the Southwest. The September date sits in shoulder season — flight costs and hotel rates are reasonable, the weather has cooled from peak summer, and class scheduling avoids the major fall holiday clusters.
Who Trains in Houston
Built for the Texas and Gulf Coast market.
The Houston cohort draws from a distinct population: estheticians, nurses, PMU artists, tattoo artists, and physician extenders from across Texas, plus Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and southern Missouri. Many students fly in from cities where the closest alternative training is a three-time-zone flight away.
Texas’s medical-aesthetics market has a particular character — high disposable income, strong oncology and reconstruction networks, and a patient base that frequently includes mastectomy recovery, post-pregnancy stretch mark restoration, and burn survivor camouflage work. The opportunity for paramedical practitioners across the state is substantial and continues to grow.

Travel & Logistics
How to plan your Houston training.
Airports. George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) is the primary hub for international and long-haul domestic flights. William P. Hobby (HOU) is closer to central Houston and often cheaper for Southwest Airlines routes. Both airports connect to central Houston in 25–45 minutes by rideshare.
Lodging. The Galleria, Medical Center, and Midtown areas offer the widest range of class-week lodging — typical rates run $130–$220/night during September. The Medical Center neighborhood (home to MD Anderson and Texas Medical Center) is particularly fitting given the clinical context of the training.
State Licensing. Tattoo and paramedical tattoo licensing requirements vary by state. Each student is responsible for confirming their own state requirements with their local health department.
