Paramedical Tattoo Training New York.

Paramedical tattoo training New York is offered as a traveling cohort from Dr. Rusnak Academy. The academy is founded by Dr. Cecilia Rusnak, a doctor with over 30 years of clinical and aesthetic experience. Hands-on, in-person training covers 3D Areola Color Restoration, scar camouflage, and stretch mark work. Read the academy mission.

For four days in July and again in October, Dr. Cecilia Rusnak brings her paramedical tattoo curriculum to New York City — the Northeast stop on the 2026 tour. Students travel here from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and across the Mid-Atlantic to train without flying south.

Why New York

Where the market is hardest.

New York and the surrounding Northeast corridor have the highest concentration of medical-aesthetics practices in the United States — and the most discerning patients. The opportunity is real, and so is the bar. Dr. Cecilia teaches paramedical certification in New York twice each year because practitioners here need both the clinical depth and the business sophistication to compete.

JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark cover the Northeast with hundreds of daily flights. Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor connects Boston, Providence, Hartford, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and DC. For practitioners within a five-hour radius — most of the densely populated Eastern Seaboard — New York is the closest stop on the tour and the version of the training that most closely mirrors the patient population they’ll serve.

Who Trains in New York

Built for the Northeast practitioner.

The New York cohorts draw heavily from the dense medical-aesthetics ecosystem of the Northeast: estheticians, nurses, NPs, PMU artists, and dermatology-adjacent practitioners from Manhattan and the outer boroughs, plus Long Island, Westchester, Connecticut, Northern New Jersey, the Philadelphia metro, and Boston. International students from Toronto and Montreal occasionally enroll here as well.

Paramedical work fits the Northeast market particularly well. Post-mastectomy areola restoration, scar camouflage, and stretch mark revision serve patient populations with both high disposable income and access to insurance-covered breast reconstruction. Practitioners who graduate from the New York cohort frequently build paramedical specialties inside existing aesthetic or dermatology practices.

Travel & Logistics

How to plan your New York training.

Airports. JFK and LaGuardia (LGA) serve Manhattan directly. Newark (EWR) is often the cheapest option for many domestic routes. All three connect to Manhattan in under 60 minutes via rideshare, taxi, or AirTrain/PATH/subway combinations.

Lodging. Midtown, Murray Hill, and Chelsea offer the widest range of class-week lodging. Typical mid-tier rates run $220–$380/night depending on season. For lower rates, consider Long Island City, Williamsburg, or Hoboken — all within 30 minutes of the class venue.

State Licensing. Tattoo and paramedical tattoo licensing requirements vary by state. Each student is responsible for confirming their own state requirements with their local health department.
